A Great Thank You from the Father of The Bride

Monday, April 26th, 2010

We got this great thank you email from Shannon’s father, if you didn’t see her wedding please look back about two posts. I think this says it all.

Jim – just a quick note to say WOW!!! – and many thanks to you and your associate for doing such a great job at the wedding in a most unobtrusive manner. I have been at a number of weddings where it seemed to be more about the photography than the blessed event and the bride and groom barely had an opportunity to enjoy the moment and the reception. Just from the short vignette appended, you obviously got some great stuff and captured the spirit, fun, friendship and comeraderie without destroying the flow and enjoyment – that is obviously an art, my friend and I am most appreciative. It means alot to us to have some great memories and pictures of dear friends and family. I heard a lot of great compliments about your service and style from our family and guests – the actual shots are going to knock em out!

Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks. Now I got to go back to work and pay for it all!!
God Bless,

Guest Writer:  Julie Carson

As the bride, YOU make your grand entrance. Will you be wearing true white, eggshell white, creamy white, ivory, champaign, or a nontraditional color? What color of tux will you, as the groom, be wearing? Will your guests notice the subtle differences in your white gown or the shade of tux? Believe it or not something as simple as the subtle differences in the shade of white can take off or actually add 10lbs to your appearance! Color either lifts up your jaw line giving your a youthful appearance or it can pull down on the jaw line actually aging you. So color truly makes a difference in how well you look!

Color will impact how photogenic you are. The proof will be your “proofs”! Color creates an ambiance. Color can make the difference in how photogenic your wedding party is, no matter what the lighting. Color is the foundation of your “signature” image.

7 Things No One Tells You About Marriage

Friday, October 30th, 2009

This was a good article that I found from Redbook concerning some simple truths that will unlock the surprising treasures and pleasures in your imperfect, unstorybook, real-life love.

1. You will look at the person lying next to you and wonder, Is this it? Forever?
When you get married, you think that as long as you pick the right guy — your soul mate — you’ll be happy together until death do you part. Then you wake up one day and realize that no matter how great he is, he doesn’t make you happy every moment of every day. In fact, some days you might wonder why you were in such a hurry to get married in the first place. You think to yourself, “This is so not what I signed up for.”
