Wyant brings a balance to the 21st century bridal album by combining three characteristics: Timeless Classic, Creative Interactive, and Photo-Journalistic.

Timeless Classic: A true photographic artist relies on depth and insight to create images of power, grace, and lasting importance. Timeless classic is the black tux that is never out of style.

Creative Interactive: A true portrait artist will set the stage for emotional involvement and mood in an easy, natural manner. The excitement brought about by the passion of the artist is contagious and absorbs any feelings of insecurity or discomfort on the subjects part.

Finishing a Bar Mitzvah

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

I’m met with Ginat today to finish her album for David’s Bar Mitzvah. Jim and I had a great time celebrating with David at his Bar Mitzvah. We started on Friday at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, known to many as IHC. Photographing him with his family and posing some of the ceremony poses, his great aunt from France was also there. Then we met him at his house for dinner for family, it was catered by JP – amazing food!! And I saw a friend from my high school years, Ann Marcott, she was helping JP.

Then the excitement of the next day – WOW. The party was at the Montage with a rain forest theme. It was really cool to walk across the hanging bridge to go into the party room. Dondo was the beginning entertainment – he is an amazing percussionist and played instruments that I have never heard of before. He told us that he has done the Mazda commercial – you know the “zoom, zoom” commercials, so now I listen for his percussion instruments when I see those commercials. Then us kids went to a different room with a DJ and had some fun – you will see the limbo photographs – they were good at it. Then we all joined back into the main room for some games with the adults and the DJ and there was a band in the next room with professional dancers that were awesome. The dancers were teaching others how to do different dances, a lot of the people were picking up the steps really fast.

What you should know about today’s photography

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

The age of digital photogaphy has given the world many new options in the way people utilize images.  It has also brought more than a few questions, frustrations, and untruths.

One fictitious notion that has arisen, mostly from clever advertising, is that digital science has taken the complexities out of photography and done away with the need for professionals. The purchase of a high tech digital camera and computer replaces a true professional photographic artist just about as well as new high tech medical equipment replaces the need of a highly trained and skilled surgeon.

Wyant Photography under the active direction of Master, Craftsman Photogaphers Jim and Lois Wyant, since 1982 has offered professionalism at all levels.  We promise to shatter the myths, assist in discovering your true needs, and serve with profeciency.
